At least if we intend to follow the planned obsolescence school of thought
that Wintel corporations like to push.  (I'm assuming your message was
tongue in cheek btw.)

One of the best things about Linux is that it runs well on the hardware
I own ... otherwise I could not run it.  I'm sure I'm not the only
financially-constrained Linux user, by any means.
