Re: Just installed Exim - how to I get local/system mail?
Thanks to those of you who replied so quickly.
I have made sure that in /etc/aliases I have:
postmaster: root
root: gsmh
#root: root
at the top of the list.
Then, in exim.conf, I have:
# qualify_recipient =
qualify_domain = gmx.net
local_domains = scgf.gmx.net:localhost
local_domains_include_host = true
local_domains_include_host_literals = true
sender_host_accept_relay = localhost
queue_only = true
never_users = root
I got the cron job to run, and copied the file created in
/var/spool/exim/input:
10mNbI-00004n-00-H
root 0 0
<root@gmx.net>

My hostname is scgf, my email address is gsmh@gmx.net.
I am a little confused now. The above mail went out via smtp and so far,
it hasn't come back to me.
Any further ideas?
Cheers.
