Read the tar documentation. -G or -g options, I believe.
There's some good documentation in the Ftape howto, which you should
have down in /usr/doc/HOWTO. Make sure you do rescue diskettes, too
(check out YARD, for instance).
Would be nice if we had a generic backup howto, wouldn't it? Not that
I'm volunteering... ;-)
