Re: kernel and modules compiling



Hi,
                 try
make xconfig   or    menuconfig
make dep ; make clean ; make zImage
mv  --force  /lib/modules/2.x.x  /lib/modules/2.x.x-old ( if recompiling
the same version )
make modules ; make modules_install
edit lilo if necessary  ( new kernel will be /boot/vmlinuz
                                            old kernel will be
/boot/vmlinuz.old  ? )
make install   ( also creates new boot floppy )
lilo
reboot
modconf  ( set up /etc/modules )
reboot
