X problems

Hello. Well, I fixed my DMA problems with the BIOS upgrade. Now, I am
having problems getting X to display properly at 1024x768. XF86Setup will
make a proper file for 800x600, but there are problems with 1024x768. So,
I used xf86config, but that one made errors, as well. So I took the
XF86Config file made by xf86config and tweaked it until the server would
come up. Unfortunately, the resulting screen was horrible. The screen
repeated itself vertically, so that with Window Maker, I'd have a dock,
and the same dock partially repeated below that. Also, my cursor was a
greenish block as opposed to an actual pointer. My hardware is a Diamond
Viper V330 with 8 MB of RAM and an OptiQuest Q71 17" monitor. I'm running
on the SVGA server with XFree86 version 3.3.2.3a-11.
