I'm not sure. Look for file /usr/src/linux/.config. I'm not sure if it
gets installed by Debian installer.

Don't be afraid - compiling a kernel is really easy. Just read the
FAQ. It gives you advantage of getting rid of the support for
devices/services that you don't use.
