config X - s3 virge

Hi,
	I have a 4mb diamond 3d s3 virge video card. From XFree86.org, I
read that "1280x1024 at 24/32 bpp for a 4 Meg".

	However, I can only achieve 16 at 1024x768. When I try -bpp 24, I
get the following output:

	virge:/home/s2193893# X -bpp 24 :1

XFree86 Version 3.3.2.3 / X Window System
(protocol Version 11, revision 0, vendor release 6300)

If the server is older than 6-12 months, or if your card is newer
than the above date, look for a newer version before reporting
        problems. (see http://www.XFree86.Org/FAQ)
Operating System: Linux 2.0.36 i686 [ELF]

S3V: accelerated server for S3 graphics adaptors (Patchlevel 0)
      s3_ViRGE
