Hi,

IIRC, to add an user to a group, the syntax is 

      adduser username groupname

I have done that to add users to floppy, audio, etc. 

>From the man page of adduser

  .....
  Add an existing user to an existing group
       If called with two non-option arguments, adduser will  add
       an existing user to an existing group.
  .....

As mentioned before, for the new permissions to work, logout and
login.
