I recommend you always keep an archive of the list in plain mbox format, in
case you want to switch tools, or need to regenerate a web archive.
In the past, hypermail had core dump problems when used on reasonably large
message archives; mhonarc processed them fine. Since then, hypermail
development has picked up, so presumably it no longer suffers from these
problems.
