RE: Kernel: Unable to load interpreter
I do not have a /proc/sys/fs directory. There are kernel, net, and vm in
/proc/sys, but no "fs".
By "odd", do you mean that something is not working the way it ought?
What, in general, is the "Unable to load interpreter" message about? Is
that only triggered by the kernel when the miscbin or java interpreter
fails to load? Is there any kind of logging I can turn on that might give
better clues?
I guess I'm full of questions. One thing I'd been concerned about was
whether this machine was somehow running out of memory, because the other
day it was giving very different errors along the lines of not being able
to link /sbin/shutdown or /sbin/mingetty, even b/c of a memory allocation
error. I got several messages along these lines:
/bin/login: error loading shared libraries
libcrypt.so.1: failed to map segment from shared object: Cannot allocate
memory
Thoughts?
