I'm not sure what you are doing wrong, but I can tell you that if you are
willing to upgrade to the potato apache 1.3.4, you can use the mod_roaming
package (in potato as well, compiled against 1.3.4), or you can download
the debian diffs with the source to compile it against your current
apache. I have it working with the 1.3.4 apache, and it's very useful.
