ignoring nfs timeouts

Hi all,

I would like to know if anybody here is using successfully the following
nfs option: retrans=1, soft, bg

I'm seems to me this options mostly retrnas,soft and bg are ignored
I'm using 2.2.0pre5 and mount 2.7l-5
