What you want is IP aliasing. It should be enabled in the standard debian
kernel. If not, build one with ip aliasing enabled.  No deb config
thingies needed. Just do this:

ifconfig eth0:1 <ip-address> up

Then add routes to the networks you are speaking to through the interface.
You might edit /etc/init.d/network to make the change permanent over
reboots.
