	A missing dir in /usr/X11R6/lib/X11 is the problem, but I don't know
what package is responsible for this mess.  Two possible solutions.

	a)  if you have a subdir called 'locale.xlib6-old' in the above
mentioned location then symlink it to 'locale'.

	b)  if you don't have that dir (this was my case) try getting the
/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/locale dir from the old xbase package from hamm. 
Don't install it, extract just the locale subdir.  In my case, I used
midnight commander (MC) to extract only what I needed.
