Follow the directions found in the README in the disks directory - there
you'll find info on what MUST be supported in your boot kernel.

Run rdev.sh on your kernel image once you've compiled it., then simply
copy it to the rescue disk, which is a msdos filesystem.

dinstall will ask where to get the kernel from , and floppy is the first
choice.
