Good Morning, ;-)

Are you just trying to reformat the *.tex file and then run latex
on that file?  If this is the case, then just adjusting the preamble
will work.  On the other hand, if you want people with all sorts
of default paper to be able to print your document, I have found that
magicfilter will take a .ps file and convert it to the default paper
size.  I have printed both legal and A4 ps files using magicfilter
to convert to letterpaper.

I don't know if this helps, but it might.
