problem with updatedb trying to scan NFS filesystem

Hi,

One of cron.daily entries does an "updatedb" on all filesystems. Based on
/etc/updatedb.conf, it seems that NFS filesystems are supposed to be
ignored, i.e. "pruned," from the database, yet I get mail from cron
telling me that it couldn't read a directory in the NFS filesystem.

Am I misinterpreting what "pruning" is? How can I keep updatedb from
attempting to scan NFS filesystems without using some kludge?

Thanks,
-Ossama
