 From your description it sounds like you're not even getting to the point
where you need the CD yet. After pressing ENTER at the boot: prompt, you should
see a bunch of messages scroll by. The last line or two before it freezes will
probably be the pertinent lines. Email those to the list (not to me) and we can
go from there.
