Thanks Patrick! I checked out your site and the hdparm tip was a new
one, for me.  My hd transfers went from 4.80 MB/sec  to 6.90 MB/sec.
after using the tip.  As your database gets larger I hope to learn
more 'new' things.  Your in my bookmarks now!!
