Bruno, The obvious answer is that the file you are searching for was created after the latest updatedb run. You are right in that the updatedb is run once per day from a cron job. However, your computer needs to be on at the time it is scheduled for that to happen. Unless you use anachron, which is great for computers not running 24/7.
