Configuring mail in DNS

Hello, I have a my Linux box connected to the LAN
in the office I work in. I have entered it into the
DNS and everything works fine except mail.
All mails sent to my Linux box as 'user@linux.domain'
winds up in the company's mailserver where an error
is generated.
How do I configure DNS so that mail adressed for my box gets there?
MX records? I'm a bit confused, and sadly, so is my sysadmin.
