Mailing list digest size.

Hi,
	I subscribe to debian-user-digest, and am quite happy
receiving the 30kb. packets. Some time ago, though, there was this
monster 1079 kb. digest, that I had to discard, (I have a shell
account in a place with flaky phone connections). 
	
	Just wondering if there exists any mailing-list program that lets
subscribers specify the size of the digest they want, and lets them 
dynamically change it. Wishful thinking .... ?
