PCMCIA error

I have loaded the PCMCIA module.  When I insert my ethernet card, the card
is displayed as eth0.  When I try to use the network I receive the following
error:

eth0: pcnet_reset_8390() did not complete

I am using an Accton EN2216 Ethernet PCMCIA Card with Hamm using Kernel
2.0.34 on a Compaq Presario 1215.
If I need to provide more info please tell me what I need.  Thank you in
advance for any help you can give me.
