Since Star Office can't be re-distributed unless under license the
Debian package is just an installer.  You have to download the Star
Office archive from www.stardivision.com and put it in /tmp and make
sure it is owned by root, chown root.root <archive>.  Then install the
Debian package and it will install the Star Office package and keep
track of all the files.

This is also how other 'commercial' package files work, i.e. netscape,
realplayer, etc.
