It works (more or less) with the current betas of the ftape drivers.

under "development".  (To be fair, I've gotten a lot fewer of the
really odd problems since I've started using ftape-4.x-beta-5, and I
_should_ upgrade to beta-11.  <shrug>)  Note that you need both the
kernel-level driver and the userspace tools (ftape-tools).
