Hi,

edit /etc/X11/Xmodmap and put something like this:

keycode 22 = BackSpace
keycode 107 = Delete

You are using Debian 1.3? I have installed Debian 2.0 and it exhibits the
same problem... at least for me. I have to add the above so that I can use
the Backspace and the Delete key.
