hello, you need the following for a mimimum x install.
xbase, xbook, xfntbase, xfntbig, xfnt100 xfnt75, xfntcyr, xfntpex,
xfntscl, xfntil2, xlib6g, xserver-whatever-your-video-card-is (usually
xserver-svga)  there is also xmanpages and xext.  you can download them
via ftp and use dpkg -i <package-name> to install them.  look at the
Packages file to see the dependancies of each package.
