AMD K6

I just bought the above and when attempting to compile a kernel, I get a
message along the lines of "internal compiler exited with error 4" or some
such.  Sorry for not copying down the error exactly.  I just re-installed
my P166 and the compile finished fine.

Is anyone familiar with this?  Is this at all unusual with AMD's?
