KDE + debian Hamm frozen ...it deleted all my password list !!!!

I installed KDE on my hamm linux. All were working fine.
I played a bit with it.Especially with the user manager program.
I went to the console mode ...I tested the differents logins.
No probs...went back to the KDE.By mistake I pushed the lockscreen.
No way to get back to KDE...I killed it and relaunched KDE.
I started the users manager prog again.Did some work.
I openend a xterm to test the fresh account and tadaaa it didn't
asked me any passwd !!!! As far I know the linux doesn't make passwd caching:)
I tried an another login...root...daemon aaaaaargh no passwd asked !!!
Now each time I run and save with the users manager program it delete
all login passwd.I rembered too late there is a probs with shadow password
under
KDE. Could it be the reason of this really strange bug ???

Thx

Olivier
