Ahh! What a relief!  But on the other hand, I notice a bug listed in the
"show-stopper" list for 2.0 that says base passwd screws up your system. I
think I will pass on it until that bug is cleared.

Since I already have Apache installed on this system, am I to assume that
the user and group are properly installed?

It shows as uid 33, gid 33 with /var/www as the home dir.
