I've found that auctex cannot find default tex formats on my recently upgraded hamm system. I do not yet know if this is a problem with emacs, xemacs, auctex, or the tetex packages. Has anyone else seen this behavior? To sort this out, I'm installing my own emacs from scratch at the moment.
