For some reason my mailer chopped off the leading dots in the commands that I tried to be so clear about by putting them on separate lines. They should be like this: ./lpd stop and ./lpd start -- TO UNSUBSCRIBE FROM THIS MAILING LIST: e-mail the word "unsubscribe" to debian-user-request@lists.debian.org .
