Hey, don't be so negative about maintainers!
I for one will probably sign on to any novice/install list, although
I have to admit I don't usually know answers to install problems.

I think quite a few maintainers will sign up to novice/install
mailinglists. Also, as debian really is a volunteer efford, I
forsee that a novice today, who possibly was helped very much by
answers to his questions on debian-{novice,install}, would stay
subscribed longer to debian-{novice,install}, to be able to
"pay back" the support he got. At least that's how I see it.

What I will end up with is a procmail script that removes any
double-posted questions, thus making sure I don't see any question
sent to me by arrogant users.
