Speaking of which - I always liked the "Checkpoint seconds" enteries to see
some basic stats on the news coming in.  Disabling news.notice in the syslog
make /var/log/news/news.notice not needed - ever; does anyone know how to
enable those specific stats or is it a news.notice thing only?
