Installation of texbin (Update Debian 1.1 -> Debian 1.2)

Hello

I wanted to upgrade a system to Debian 1.2.2. I ran into problems with
the tex packages, because texbin refuse to install

 dpkg -i /mnt/debian/stable/binary/tex/texbin_3.1415-5.deb 
(Reading database ... 25360 files and directories currently installed.)
Preparing to replace texbin 3.1415-5 (using .../binary/tex/texbin_3.1415-5.deb) ...
Unpacking replacement texbin ...
Setting up texbin (3.1415-5) ...
kpathsea: Running MakeTeXTFM cmr9.tfm 
Running MakeTeXPK cmr9.tfm
/var/spool/texmf/fonts/tfm/cmr9.tfm already exists!
kpathsea: Appending font creation commands to missfont.log.
dpkg: error processing texbin (--install):
 subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1
Errors were encountered while processing:
 texbin

It seems that the command initex tex.initex from texbin.postinst
refuses to create the metric font files in
/var/spool/texmf/fonts/tfm/*. Deleting these files dont solve the
problem. Afterwards texbin creates the first cmr9.tfm file, but
complains that the other files cmr8.tfm are not available (You can get
this error form running initex tex.initex in /usr/lib/texmf/ini)
