As I have no idea what this (chkexploit) is, I can only guess that either:
1) It's looking for the command 'strings', which is in the binutils
package, or
2) It's looking for a file called 'strings' which should have been
distributed with it - it may need to be run in the same directory as
this file or somesuch.  (but this should be in chkexploit's documentation)
