For me adding "noauth" option to /etc/ppp/peer/provider (formerly known as
/etc/ppp.options) solved the problem - pppd tried to authenticate the peer,
which refused.
Now my link seems to be slow - is there a possibility to watch the
throughput (like x.xx kb/s or sim.)?
