[OFFTOPIC] fighting spam: how to read mail headers?

Hello!

Could someone be so kind and drop me a pointer to some documentatiuon, how I
can read the mail headers to fight spam properly.

I would like to find out the origin of the mail without bothering admins
from faked domains.
