Good guess. To be specific (I updated my available file this morning):

joey@kite:/tmp>grep ^Depends: /var/lib/dpkg/available > deplines
joey@kite:/tmp>wc -l deplines
   1241 deplines
joey@kite:/tmp>grep libc5 deplines |wc -l
    499
joey@kite:/tmp>grep libc6 deplines |wc -l
    481

This might be off by 3 or 4 becuase of some local package I have installed,
but we are very close to 50% libc6 now.
