Menu errors

Whenever I install a new .deb and it goes to update my menus, I get a
billion errors like this:

Unpacking blast (from blast_1.1-3.deb) ...
Setting up blast (1.1-3) ...

Update-menus: waiting for dpkg to finish (forking to background)
Update-menus: (checking /var/lib/dpkg/lock)

(later:)

/usr/lib/menu/fvwm95: wm: command not found
/usr/lib/menu/fvwm95: fvwm95module: command not found
/usr/lib/menu/fvwm95: fvwm95module: command not found
/usr/lib/menu/fvwm95: fvwm95module: command not found
/usr/lib/menu/fvwm95: fvwm95module: command not found
/usr/lib/menu/fvwm95: fvwm95module: command not found

This last repeats about 50 times. Any clues?
