Re: Missing /etc/resolv.conf
Try making your own by (as root):
1. touch /etc/resolv.conf
2. edit /etc/resolv.conf to add your dns nameserver
The file should look like:
search .
nameserver 123.123.123.123
123.123.123.123 would be your domain nameserver numerical address.
