Re: A very simple question
Forget the man page on bash--to much work for a simple request.
Edit ".bash_profile" and add thge lines:
export MACHINE=`uname -n`
export PS1='$MACHINE:$PWD>'
This will give you a prompt like: "zues:\home\dooher>"
