yes, you need the latest mc (4.0.4) or change the mc.ext in the
following way:

# deb
regex/\.deb$
        Open=%cd deb:%d/%p/
        View=%view{ascii} dpkg-deb -c %f

and you _must_ use tar 1.11.8 because tar 1.12 dos'nt work.
