I agree! After a long time I found the solution somewhere in the
debian-bug-list.

I don't know. Another way is:

/etc/hostname:
	your_hostname.somewhere.com

/etc/hosts:
	<your ip number>   your_hostname.somewhere.com   your_hostname

The disadvantage (?) of this way is that then the login prompt will look like
	your_hostname.somewhere.com login: _
