Re: smail "lock failed - try again" - message



My first guess is that a transaction was in progress and has not
yet timed out. For example, I tried to send a message and then hung
up the line before it was complete. I think I read someplace that it
will try to complete for a vrey long time (2hr seems to stick in my
mind but I might be wrong). After that, it will time out and unlock 
message and you can retry. Simply wait for a while, reconnect and try again.

This is a problem with dynamic IP. If you had static IP it would continue
from where it left off when you last disconnected.
