Ahem, the same just happened to me and I _had_ qpopper installed before 
that!!! Now I try to make it work again, the inetd.conf was easy, but
that upgrade also whiped out the /var/spool/pop directory, I hope that
was all... 
I'm not impressed nor happy, esp when the majordomo upgrade I did at the
same time ended in a less than perfect result, too...
