You lose your scrollback buffer when you switch away from your virtual
console. For example, when X starts.
Under FreeBSD, I can switch to another vty, switch back, and still
scroll all the way back through the boot messages. Very handy when
you've got something in two scrollback buffers in two seperate vty's.
You can flip between the two and compare. Is there any way to do this
under Linux, or do I have to use xterms?
