I have a running alpha 1.1? system. In order to upgrade cetain packages, I have had to upgrade libc5 again. Now libc5 complains that the most recent ld.so isn't on board. These packages are so intimately connected, that even on a running ELF system one goes through the same ring-around-the-rosey to upgrade anything. It would be a _good thing_ to make this more apparent. I thought I'd survived this one. Deja vu. Alan Davis
