I have been experiencing a small problem with SendMail for quite a while now. After installing, all mail to local users are owned by the local user that SENT the particular mail, not the mail-system or the user that the mail was addressed to. I had to make mail.local suid root to fix this. Now, as far as I can see, my dir/file-permissions are the same as a dpkg -c sendmail.deb, and I am running the version of sendmail that is available on ftp.debian.org. Vebby
