Bf2.4 problem

Jag har stött på ett problem vid installation. Jag försöker köra med
bf2.4 imagen.. Jag vet att den inte är stabil, ändå..
För jag lyckades med den "vanliga" installationen via pxe, men då jag
försöker byta kernel så går det åt ...pipsvängen.
2.2-20 eller vad det är på dom vanliga diskarna funkar jätte bra när jag
ska installera, men jag vill ha vissa delar ur 2.4 kerneln.. Så jag
försöker byta.

Vad saknar 2.4 kärnan som 2.2 kärnan har? Eller kanske det är tvärtom?
